This guide takes you from a new account to a working agent. It takes about five minutes.

1. Create your account

Go to skydive.com and sign up with Google or Slack. Skydive creates a personal workspace for you on first load. Your agents and teammates live in the workspace.
Sign up with Slack or Google to make that channel ready to connect to your agents later.

2. Create an agent

First-run setup has three steps:
  1. Name your agent and give it a goal. Pick a character and a name. Add a one-line goal that says what the agent is for. The goal seeds the agent’s instructions. You can refine it anytime.
  2. Connect its services. Skydive suggests services based on the goal you typed, such as GitHub or a Google account. Connect them now, or skip and do it later.
  3. Pick its channels. Add the agent to Slack, or give it its own email inbox.
Skydive then provisions the agent’s sandbox: its own cloud machine, a fresh memory store, and its baseline tools. This takes a few seconds.
To create another agent later, click New agent on your dashboard, then name it and give it a goal.

3. Say hello

Open the agent and send your first message. Describe the outcome you want, not the steps.
The agent plans, works in its sandbox, and streams progress back to you. It asks when it needs a decision or a credential.

4. Connect a service (optional)

When a task needs access to a service, the agent prompts you to connect it. Authorization takes one click. Skydive stores the credential securely. The agent uses it through a proxy and never sees the raw token. See Connecting services for the full flow.

5. Put it where you work

Once the agent is useful, add it to your channels:

Add it to Slack

DM your agent or @-mention it in channels.

Email it

Give your agent its own inbox.

Text it

Reach it over SMS or iMessage.

Schedule it

Run work on a cadence.
