Two ways to connect
Buffer supports sign-in with OAuth and a personal API key. OAuth is the default: one click, then the agent is ready. The API key option is there if you prefer to use a key you already manage.- Buffer OAuth (recommended). Sign in once and the agent connects through the secure proxy. See Connect with OAuth.
- Buffer API key. Paste a personal API key from Buffer’s settings. See Connect with an API key.

What you share
During the connect flow you authorize what the agent can reach. It works only within what you grant. As with every connection, the underlying token is handled securely and never exposed to the model. See Permissioning.1
Authorize Buffer for the agent
From the agent’s connections, choose Buffer and sign in.

Confirm what the agent can reach. You can change this later.

It works through the secure proxy, within what you granted.

Get your Buffer API key
In Buffer, go to Settings → API and create a new personal API key.

Add the key to the agent
From the agent’s connections, choose Buffer and paste the key when prompted.
